Home is Where the Food is (via The Juki Museum)
The 100-Mile Diet Society of Vancouver recently (Nov 3rd) launched a short animated film entitled Home Is Where the Food Is, as part of their new society website www.foodshed.100milediet.org.
The video itself was directed and animated by Jody Kramer with help from local friends including Tina Biello, Lydia Fu, Kathy Whitney, and others.
There is a neat clip of Lori Pamiere from Little Qualicum Cheeseworks being interviewed right on location in Parksville BC. As many of you know, Little Qualicum Cheeseworks is a vendor with our Farmers Markets. Perhaps not Lori herself, but her team will be at our first Winter Farmers Market of the 2009 season this Saturday selling their local cheeses. Look toward the back of Wise Hall near the stage on the right-hand side. Tables 25 & 26 here on our interactive map.
Thanks to Shirlene Cote for helping with the short film and letting me know about the clip!
